This time we review something similar to the last beer: an American take on the Belgian White or "witbier" style from a brewery right here in New York - Ommegang! I really enjoy this style of beer and wanted to see what Crystal would think of something much more authentic than Blue Moon or Shock Top.

Welcome to the Better Beer Authority. Im James Knott. Today we will be talking about Iron City Beer which has been made by the Iron City Brewing Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania since 1861.


Loved by people from Pittsburgh, hated by most beer connoisseurs, this beer is probably most notable for its strong regional ties to Western Pennsylvania. This is an American-style lager with 4.5 % alcohol by volume and 140 calories per 12-ounce bottle.

Because the Murphy's Irish Red was so bad Henry and I absolutely had to review another beer if nothing else than to get that taste out of our mouths!

Beer is Tasty, episode 2! This week Bryan and Chris review another three beers, and pair them with your typical "guy food".

Not the worst beer I have had. Its very pale yellow and smooth. Cheap and dont add lime!

This last week was San Diego Beer Week. What is San Diego Beer Week you ask? Only the most epic 9 days in San Diego history. We celebrated SDBW by visiting the Stone World Bistro & Gardens down at Stone Brewing Company and sat with [ Dr. Bill Sysak ] and enjoyed Double Bastard Ale. Dr. Bill shares his extensive knowlege of Craft beer, Beer Tasting, Slow Food and a host of other topics. Filmed on location in the beautiful gardens, this episode was a dream come true for the NBT crew!
